Church House
St. Luke’s Church House provides a forum for parishioners and guests to experience fellowship, spirituality, charity, and educational enrichment. Built in 1963, the church house originally served as a rectory for St. Luke’s first full-time, dedicated rector, Rev. Edwin S. Tomlinson. Until the early 1960’s St. Luke’s had shared a minister with St. John’s parish in Olney. The land upon which the church house was built was donated by the Warren Cooley family.
Today, the Church House serves the needs of St. Luke’s in many ways. The lower level of the building houses weekly Sunday School classes for the children. The upper level of the building provides office space for the church’s rector. The main level of the Church House offers space for the choir to practice. Adult forums, coffee hours, meetings, and many other church-related and community-sponsored activities occur in our Church House.
